Egg freezing allows woman to freeze their eggs at younger and healthier age and use them to achieve the pregnancy later in life. With the process of egg freezing ,the egg cells are brought to very low temperature which causes all cell activity to stop. So, the eggs do not continue to age.

The younger a woman is, they are more likely to show more egg cells and more chromosomally normal egg cells.

The method most commonly used to freeze egg cells is rapid vitrification where once the eggs are retrieved, they are quickly frozen to reduce the chance of damage to the egg cells

We refer to this is a higher viability rate.

Once the eggs are thawed and brought to room temperature they can be fertilized.

Even if every frozen egg survives that process – there is no guarantee the egg can be fertilized and even if the egg fertilizes, there’s no guarantee that the embryo will be chromosomally normal and result in a  pregnancy.

Therefore, we recommend freezing as many eggs as possible.

In some cases, it may be more advantageous to freeze most of the egg cells and use fertilize the remainder to create embryos.
